The 1847 Classic harmonica is a result of Seydel's 160 years of experience hand-crafting premium harmonicas. During this time, they have managed to perfect every detail of the Classic harmonica. One of their key discoveries is the use of stainless steel reeds. Not only do these reeds offer more stable tuning - even under extreme stress - but they're also resistant to any corrosion. These reeds are manufactured using fine-cut technology, optimised flatness, and have minimal tolerance between the tongues and the reed plates. What does this mean for you? The Classic harmonica requires significantly less air while also producing a full, loud, and overtone-rich sound with a fast response.
To ensure you're comfortable with the Seydel harmonica, the front of the Classic boasts a lip-and-beard-friendly design. The harmonica is ergonomically shaped with slightly bulging, rounded canopy openings without incisions on the mouth side.
