The Elkhart 100TS Tenor Saxophone is a well-built instrument with a really competitive price tag. Similar to other tenor saxophones by Elkhart, the 100TS can play the full range from a low Bb to a high F#. The 100TS tenor is made from yellow brass which provides a nice balance between the various playing parameters. This is why it is the most widely used and commonly played alloy in the world. Once the 100TS has been constructed it is coated with a layer of black lacquer for a unique and sleek look. Unlike other saxophones in this price range, the 100TS has features often only found on premium saxophones. Blue needle springs and quality Italian pads ensure the mechanism works correctly and that a proper seal is created around the tone holes. The engraving found on the bell of the 100TS was done by hand by the highly experienced craftspeople in the Elkhart factory for a more personal touch.
