The SPL Transient Designer 4 is a versatile dynamics processor featuring Attack and Sustain controls on all 4 channels. The Transient Designer 4 allows you to control the transient response and envelope curve of any audio signal with two simple controls. Even though its controls are limited, the Attack and Sustain controls are all you need to fatten up or soften any audio you run through it. The Transient Designer gives you optimal control over your dynamics without compression, meaning you can manage your dynamics without actually affecting the volume. The result is natural-sounding transient control that will complement any mix.
The SPL Transient Designer 4 can be used for an endless amount of applications from amplified or reducing the picking sound of an acoustic guitar to shortening reverb flags of a range of sounds. Its Attack and Sustain controls can add extra punch to a drum loops or emphasize a vocal performance. You can use the Transient Designer processor in mono mode for individiaul mono tracks or linked together in stereo mode for stereo mixes. The versatile nature of the Attack and Sustain controls allow you to add punch and character to your sound or soften your audio source for a more natural sounding mix.
The highly robust all-metal construction is built-to-last, with the front-panel featuring a sleek yet grungy finish with its paint splatter and scratch paint job. The 4 channels each feature Attack and Sustain controls as well as link buttons and ‘On’ buttons. Each channel also features a signal LED for notifying you when the processor is currently running a signal. The rack-mountable design only takes up a single space on your rack, making it ideal for any studio setting. The rear panel of the Transient Designer features dual XLR I/O on every channel for optimal audio quality and convenience.
