On top of the built-in AD conversion on each channel, the Metric Halo 2882’s FireWire connection ensures optimal signal integrity between the interface and your computer. The 8 microphone/balanced analog inputs give you more than enough room to connect a range of microphones and instruments. The built-in +48V Phantom Power gives you the ability to capture studio-quality recordings from condenser microphones without the need for an external power supply. Design & Construction

The Metric Halo 2882 weighs less than 2.5 kg and is the size of a laptop which makes it easily transportable no hassle and no packing up after a gig. With plenty of inputs and outputs that provide the perfect character for whatever material you are recording, the 2882 also allows you to switch from a wire-with-gain to a warmer tube pre with ease. The Halo 2882 features flexible signal routing and sophisticated patch and preset management systems, as well as 2 separately addressable boot states for standalone operation. The 2882 functions well as a standalone microphone pre/converter system thanks to its unique front panel recall system.
