Classic principles. Modern design. The Austrian Audio OC18 Condenser Microphone, Live Set are the perfect microphones for any songwriter producer or engineer. Built by hand in Vienna, the OC18's large-diaphragm condensers comes complete with a cardioid polar pattern. Thanks to this, recording is as simple as pointing the microphones in-front of the source and pressing record. They'll take care of the rest. Their cardioid polar pattern ensures excellent focus with almost perfect rejection of undesirable, off-axis sound. This proves particularly useful in live multi-instrument sessions and noisy environments.
Get the sound right at source. The wide range of features on-board allows you to get the sound great before it even hits the preamp. Utilise the -10dB and -20dB pads to reduce the microphone's sensitivity. Engage these when recording instruments such as drums and amplifiers with particularly high SPLs. This is perfect for eradicating any risk of clipping and distortion. Too much rumble? no problem. The three position, adjustable high-pass filters allows you to decrease the OC18's low-frequency pick-up.

This won't hold the OC18s back from becoming your "go-to" microphones. Just like the revered OC818, the OC18s comes complete with a premium CKR12 ceramic capsule. The inclusion of a single diaphragm provides the same level of quality, whilst allowing you to keep the cost down. There's no point paying for something you're not going to make the most of!
