The Manson Meta Series MBM-2P is a new and improved reincarnation of the MBM-1, delivering a supreme playing experience from function to feel. Highly versatile, this guitar is built using carefully selected materials to ensure the best performance possible. The body of this guitar is built from basswood, used by guitar makers across the globe for its beefy and well-balanced tones across the board - as well as being light and easily manageable for a highly comfortable playability.
The soft V maple neck profile further adds to the playing feel of this guitar, and the maple contributes a brightness to the tone that will help your solos pop and sizzle through the mix. With one P-90 pickup on the neck, and a humbucking pickup on the bridge, you’ll be able to mould your tone to fit any style of playing – from softer more Jazz and blues influences, all the way to heavy rock sounds for a truly unique and versatile experience.

There are a vast amount of construction elements that have to be taken into account when building a guitar, and Manson have carefully composed this latest offering with meticulous dedication – and the outcome is truly a sensation. From the light, resonant and robust basswood body to the bright and lively harmonics of the Canadian maple neck – the tonewoods used to build this guitar provide a well-rounded and memorable performance, as well as contributing to a comfortable and easy to manage physical feel.
Featuring an Indian laurel fingerboard which will feel fantastic beneath your grasp, as well as complementing the silver finish of the guitar – bringing a more natural and classic aesthetic to the mix. The neck itself is designed into a V profile which will make manoeuvrability a breeze, so you can play on for hours with minimal strain and maximum comfort. What’s more, the fully adjustable bridge and tailpiece can be altered at any time to adjust the tuning stability of your guitar, and work with the staggered locking machine heads to provide a comfortable action at all times while you’re playing.
By combining two pickups which aren’t commonly seen placed together on the same guitar, Manson have created a sound palette which is entirely tailorable to your taste as a guitarist and is truly mind boggling in its versatility. The MBM-1 humbucker on the bridge is for all the rockers in the room - if you’re playing lead this is where you’ll want to live. A powerful and full-bodied pickup which delivers a sharp and crystal clear sound that will help you slice through the mix like a bullet through a balloon, the MBM-1 humbucker is the party-piece of this guitar’s tone.
On the other side of the guitar, you’ve got the classic P90 pickup on the neck. This isn’t a pickup that you’ll be able to get as much drive out of, nevertheless, you’ll be whirling in a world of warmth and tonal richness that offers a more delicate bluesy experience. If you’re looking for more rounded tones, the P90 is the ideal choice and being placed on the neck, the tenor of the strings will sound much less sharp than its humbucking counterpart. Don’t get me wrong though, you can still push this pickup hard and it will respond fantastically, rounding off a wonderfully diverse sonic performance from this guitar.
This guitar features the body shape of the guitars often preferred by Matt Bellamy throughout his illustrious career with Muse, and finished with a space-age, modern metallic silver wrap that pays a homage to their futuristic hard rock sound.
