The SR5FMDX2 comes equipped with two Nordstrand Big Single pickups, which are single-coils that have been put into a soapbar-style pickup. With this design, your bass guitar produces a full and powerful tone, packed with tonal texture and the clarity of a single coil. These incredible pickups have been paired with a range of controls that let your shape your sound to suit your style. These include the EQ for editing the boost, cut, range, and frequencies, and the EQ bypass, which offers precise tonal adjustments. When this is activated, the treble tone control becomes the control for the passive circuit. To top it off, there's a 3-way mid frequency switch in order to change the tone between 250, 450, and 700 Hz.
A bass built for brilliance
This Ibanez bass guitar has been crafted from some of the finest materials that to help take your performance to the next level. The body has been sculpted from three different woods, which include maple, ash, and African mahogany. Whilst the top materials offer a beautiful wood grain that is sure to make you stand out on stage, the mahogany body produces warm, well-rounded, and smooth tones.
Paired with this is a flamed maple fingerboard, imbuing the SR5FMDX2 with an exotic appearance. This fingerboard sits on top of a panga panga and purpleheart neck, materials that combine and produce a well-balanced attack with rich sustain. KTS Titanium reinforcement rods then increase the bass's stability. An incredible construction that is guaranteed to enhance the way you play.
