With only one bridge position pickup, you know this sound is all about bite, and the Junior delivers that in buckets - without becoming too saturated. Ripping highs, gutsy mids and rich, twangy lows are all in the P-90 Dog Ear’s wheelhouse.
Full of gnarly crunch potential, this potent pickup is superb for rock, punk and fuzzy blues. Featuring vintage-style construction it provides crystal clear performance, so everything you play is articulated and sharp. Revel in gritty crunch, or roll back for mellow jazzy tones, there’s bondless flexibility in this single P-90.
Junior name, grown up design
Conceived as a student guitar, the Junior has a history stretching back to the ‘50s. It takes the legendary Les Paul form and strips it back for a streamlined look. Barebones. Captivating. And just oh so sleek to play. Carved from a slab of mahogany and finished in a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer it’s simply gorgeous to view, not to mention the rich, developed tones imparted by this premium wood.
With its time-tested shape, it’s so easy to wield at performances, letting you hit the strings with unerring accuracy. Speaking of accuracy, the Gibson excellence extends to the wrap around bridge and hand-wired Volume and Tone controls. Expect excellent tunning stability through the bridge and huge dynamics courtesy of the hand-wired controls with Orange Drop Capacitators.
