An icon, reborn. The Epiphone Wilshire P-90 presents a classic model that simply radiates vintage quality. Since its first appearance in 1959, this iconic guitar prides itself on its no-nonsense roots. But if you think that means it can't handle the modern stage, then you'd be sorely mistaken. Because this sensational instrument comes equipped with all the versatility, comfort, and striking style that guitarists crave out of their performance. A pair of slashing P90 pickups deliver those sweet, snappy tones with a certain roundedness and warmth that single-coils just can't compete with. From clean country to raging rock - these pickups bear no boundaries in their brilliance.
Whilst you put the Wilshire's impeccable sonic range to the test, you'll find your fingers dancing across a silk-smooth laurel fingerboard. And it's layered onto a "C" shaped mahogany neck which not only provides superb comfort, but a rich, warm resonance, too. Of course, the breathtaking vintage style of the Wilshire isn't something to brush over. Just look at it. A distinctive butterfly pickguard, Kalamazoo headstock, and signature "E" logo hark back to the original '50s design, reminding players exactly where their sound came from. Because this guitar is so much more than just an instrument. It's a story, entering its next chapter...

The sound of vintage Gibson. In the 1940s Gibson created the P90. Warm and twangy with exceptional clarity, this fat pickup is, in essence, a more powerful single coil. This means you get all the brightness and warmth you could ever want, with the added benefit of more punch and increased output. The Wilshire has two P90 pickups, one in the neck position and one in the bridge position.
The neck pickup is smooth and warm, perfect for elegant lead lines, while the bridge pickup is crisp and fat, ideal for powerful chords and soaring solos. A 3-way selector switch and dual volume and tone controls give you incredible flexibility over your sound. The result is a precise, consistent sound that is quintessentially Gibson.
Attention-to-detail has been paid to every single aspect of the Wilshire's neck to ensure it delivers the most complete playing experience possible. And it all starts with a wonderful vintage medium C profile. Designed to fit perfectly to the contours of your hand, it provides exquisite comfort at every point up and down the guitar's scale. So you can banish hand cramp to the past. And the laurel fingerboard is slick, delivering a tremendously smooth playing action - ideal for speedy soloing.
It's not just in the playability where this expertly-crafted neck excels, though. It's also capable of delivering exquisite tone. Made from premium mahogany, it offers a rich, balanced sound that will help your mids resonate. Paired with the beautiful warmth of the laurel fretboard, you've got a far-reaching tonal palette that can handle any genre or style.
The Epiphone Wilshire features an eye-catching body shape and finish, allowing you to truly stand out from the crowd. Especially with the contrasting nickel hardware and black details. As well as having a vibrant impact, the simplicity of this guitar makes it perfect for all types of players.
Epiphone have paid great attention to detail on this guitar, including the traditional "Dot" inlays along the fretboard, making it easier to find notes and chords. Not to mention the true highlight of the Wilshire's sensational outfit - the pickguard. Butterfly-shaped in a mesmerising tortoiseshell finish, with the foil "E" logo for extra flair. This guitar simply breathes vintage style.
