Solid Sitka Spruce & Solid Mahogany Construction

The Fender Newporter Classic features a solid sitka spruce top that delivers a versatile sound, and is able to accommodate numerous playing styles greatly, from lighter fingerpicking styles to more aggressive strumming patterns. In addition, the Newporter's solid sitka spruce top contributes to the overall sound, adding clear, crisp and articulate tones with a broad dynamic range. Sitka spruce is quite elastic in nature, which resonates well whilst remaining strong, and provides a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm midi-range, and bright sparkling highs. Its stunning solid top is coupled with solid mahogany back and sides which produce a resonant dark warmth. The Newporter's solid mahogany back and sides also deliver a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles.

Newporter Body

With Fender's Newporter body, and 650 mm scale length, this full sized electro acoustic delivers a rich and full sound yet still offers guitarists a comfortable playing experience. Players can appreciate the Newporter's nipped-in waist, making it comfortable on the knee for live sets and rehearsals, whilst its cutaway profile provides easy access to more challenging chords. In addition, the Fender Newporter Classic features optimized bracing for added resonance, as well as to reinforce the Newporter's structure, offering durability and enhanced sound.

Mahogany Neck & Pau Ferro Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the Fender Newporter's neck offers plenty of resonance and warmth, which is perfect for a wide range of playing styles. Mahogany's natural ability of responding greatly to numerous styles of play makes it accommodating to even the players with a more alternative style or technique. In addition, its lightweight neck has a slim taper and C-shaped-profile, preventing the likeliness of a cramping hand and offering a smooth and fluent playing experience. Furthermore, the neck is topped with a pau ferro fingerboard which has a smooth feel and offers similar sonic characteristics to rosewood, adding warmth to the overall sound. The fingerboard is also sprinkled with maple dot inlays for added elegance.
