The Dave Smith Instruments Mopho synthesizer keyboard is a compact, powerful monophonic analogue synthesizer. Similar to a single voice of the Prophet '08, it has two sub-octave generators for additional girth and crushing basses. The audio input lets you process external audio and mix the audio output back in pre-filter for a range of feedback effects. The 32 full-sized keys are semi-weighted with velocity and aftertouch.

View Full DescriptionThe Mopho Keyboard's voice architecture has two oscillators, two sub-octave generators, selectable 2- or 4-pole low-pass filter, feedback and a ton of modulation options, including three envelope generators, four LFOs and a 16 x 4 step sequencer. Expanded polyphony is available via the Poly Chain feature to connect to other DSI synths. Combining the Mopho Keyboard with a Tetra gives a very portable five-voice poly synth.
The Mopho Keyboard boasts a full-sized, semi-weighted, 32-note keyboard with velocity and aftertouch, and full-sized pitch and modulation wheels. It also has USB connectivity and the ability to process external audio through Mopho's filter and VCA.
The synthesizer is fully programmable and has all the parameters logically arranged on the front panel for easy access. A free downloadable editor for Mac OS and Windows facilitates programming.
