You could call it the ultimate tonewood. Mahogany has been used for decades to make acoustics because of its warm sound, which makes it incredibly pleasing to the ear. Something which gives the G1S its proud individuality is the all mahogany build, with mahogany back and sides and a mahogany top bringing its warmth to a new dimension. With this wood sitting in your arms, every note you play will have a lovely bass resonance combined with a healthy dose of punchy treble for an elegant, well-rounded sound.

It's not all about the wood, though. Cathedral peaked scalloped-X bracing brings further definition to the G12S's tone, ensuring the soundboard vibrates with as much freedom as possible. A Graphtech Nubone nut also brings its own unique tonal qualities to the table, whilst providing string damping properties to promote clarity of sound.

The all-rounder. Grand auditorium guitars are favoured by acoustic guitarists because of their unrivalled versatility when it comes to playing styles. They were first designed to bridge the gap between large dreadnoughts (for flatpicking) and smaller Grand Concerts (for fingerpicking), ultimately allowing both styles to sound splendid.
