Classic Single Coils & Resonant Tonewood Combination

The Squier Standard Fat Stratocaster is a modified version of a classic Stratocaster. Along with the nuanced single-coil sounds from the neck and middle positions, the HSS Strat's bridge-position humbucker gives you an additional tone with enhanced power and clarity - ideal for rock and metal players. With the 5-way pickup selector, the Fat Strat gives you 5 distinct sounds to choose between, letting you play in all genres of music with a wide range of tones.

This guitar features an agathis body with a maple neck and laurel fingerboard. The single-coil pickups accentuate the balanced frequency response of these tonewoods and create a versatile range of sounds for almost any genre. The Stratocaster bridge-position humbucker has the power for rock and metal, while the neck-position pickup can create the ideal sound for bluesy/jazzy leads and funky chordal playing. The 5-way pickup selector was a later introduction to the original Stratocaster design, introduced when Fender noticed that players were forcing the standard 3-way selector into the half-way positions for combined-coil tones. The Squier's 5-way pickup selector gives you these 5 distinct sounds to choose between and will allow you to cover almost all genres of music.

Fast Playability

The Squier Fat Stratocaster has a neck based on '60s dimensions with its "C" profile for a comfortable reach over all 6-strings. The double cutaway body enables access to all 22 frets for high-range soloing, while the modern 9.5'' radius fingerboard gives a balanced feel across the 6 strings, making chordal and lead playing easier.
