It's the ultimate gamechanger. The multi-scale fretboard is a step above the rest – it redefines playability. With slanted, or 'fanned', frets, it naturally fits to the slant of your wrist to ensure maximum comfort when playing. It also adds extra definition to the tone of the low strings, whilst making the treble strings brighter and clearer. The result is unbelievable playability combined with a superbly tight sound. With this technology, you can master your guitar playing like never before.
They're ready to ignite your performance. Loaded with a pair of searing humbucker pickups, the Ormsby V GTR 7-string excels at producing the sought-after metal and hard rock tones of the early '80s. Its harmonically-rich character creates an absolute whirlwind of metal tone with every riff and solo you play. Combined with an alnico 5 Concordia in the neck, your chugging emits a gigantic sound, with a smooth, subtle character to it. Dominate the stage.
Enhance your playing technique. The Ormsby V GTR 7-string features an ultra-smooth laminated maple neck for endless playing comfort. A tireless journey to craft the perfect guitar. Perry Ormsby was a talented carpenter for years before starting Ormsby Guitars. He would repeatedly promise to himself that he'd one day use his carpentry skills to make a fantastic guitar. The dream would eventually become a reality when Perry decided to give up everything, quit his job, sell his house, and chase his fantasy.
He never looked back. Shortly after crafting his very first model, word spread amongst guitarists, and Ormsby soon had an instrument waiting list of over two years. With the amazing multi-scale development, the company has gone from strength to strength. Their guitars are particularly popular within metal and hard rock genres, but are also suitable for blues and punk playing due to their magnificent playability. Original models crafted with love, passion, and extreme attention-to-detail.
