Devin Townsend is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and record producer known for his signature playing style which involves heavy use of delays and reverbs. Mooer Audio decided to collaborate with the guitarist to create a pedal that embodied his signature style, taking over 2 years to design and develop the ultimate delay and reverb unit.
The Mooer Ocean Wave is designed from high-quality components and features complex algorithms to deliver lush, heavenly, versatile effects ideal for a range of guitarists, from beginners to professionals. The wide selection of controls offer quick and easy adjustments to the pedals sound, letting players find the perfect tone for their playing style without spending hours in menus. However, further tone shaping via the adjustable global EQ setting and the multitude of extra programmable options are accessible via the LCD menu, lettings professionals have full control over their tone.
Featuring two independent delays and a high fidelity spacious reverb, the signature pedal can create incredible soundscapes, from massive, spacey tones to small doubled up sounds. An audio looper provides up to 60 seconds of recording time, while tap tempo options and freeze effects offer excellent tonal possibilities.
The pedal features 9 different reverbs to choose from, offering classic effects like a small room reverb with a short delay, to a large spacious reverb with a long delay. More unique reverbs are available to create weird and wonderful sounds, from a backwards reverb to a reverb with a modulation envelope filter. The 2 delays feature 18 different delay types between them, with both featuring a digital delay, vintage analogue delay, and a tape echo delay. While Delay B features incredible sounds such as the galaxy delay with swelled repeats and a light modulation, Delay A features a rainbow special effects delay with glistening highs, and a liquid digital delay with modulation phaser repeats. Mix and match between the three effects to create amazing sounds an unique tones.
