Loaded With One Wolfgang Humbucking Pickup

This EVH Striped Electric Guitar is equipped with a Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucking pickup that is mounted directly to the body for increased vibration transfer, and prolonged sustain. This pickup is well-known for delivering fierce and screaming highs, defined middle and deep and chunky low end allowing you to perfect Eddie Van Halen's signature tone. The pickup is equipped with Alnico II magnets making it ideal for a range of playing styles due to its medium output and powerful vintage tone. Players can easily shape their sound using the single black Tone control.

Lightweight Basswood Body

Like other guitars in the Striped series, the 5150 features a lightweight, basswood body which eliminates any shoulder strain, perfect for gigging musicians who might require a lighter model, and also beginners. Basswood is commonly used for guitar manufacture due to its warm and balanced tone, which is perfect for any style. In addition, this basswood body also features a comfortable double-cutaway, and is finished with a protective, gloss coating.

Maple Neck & Fingerboard

This EVH Striped 5150 Guitar features a Modern 'C' shaped neck that is designed for an incredibly comfortable playing experience, allowing the hand to fully cup the neck and deliver smooth navigation of the fingerboard. Both the neck and fingerboard are made from maple, which provides beautifully bright tones, with searing highs and strong mids for a dynamic performance.

EVH-Branded Floyd Rose Special Tremolo

For many years Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years the Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolos the Floyd Rose Special bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the initial tuning because of the Floyd Rose locking nut at the end of the headstock. In addition, Eddie's personally designed D-Tuna effortlessly re-tunes to a drop-D and back with superb accuracy, perfect for songs that require dropped tunings.
