Lightweight Basswood Body

The Thoroughbred X Flame Top is crafted with a basswood body, which produces fat, yet balanced tones with excellent dynamics and definition. The basswood body is lightweight, while the double cutaway offers easy access to the higher frets, which contributes to a comfortable playing experience.

Flame Maple Top

The basswood is topped with flame maple, for enhanced brightness and clarity, and not forgetting the stunning aesthetics. The flame maple's grain is visible through the vintage, Trans Red finish; which is sure to stand out under the stage lights.

Maple Neck Paired With Jatoba Fingerboard

The maple neck provides bright tones with plenty of twang, as well as excellent levels of sustain. The neck is also paired with a jatoba fingerboard that offers a natural, attractive grain and brings good projection with a clear ringing tone.
