Parlor Body Shape

The Tanglewood TWJPS features a parlor body shape, which is slightly smaller than an average sized guitar. The Parlor shape offers a balanced tone with a powerful projection, and also delivers a perfect mid-range tone. This type of body shape has recently had a resurgence with modern players, due to its versatility and compact size, making it a favourite with travelling musicians. Its compact size also accommodates fingerpicking players, as its nipped in waist means it can be held closer to the body.

Spruce & Amaro

In addition to its elegant parlor body shape, the TWJPS Java is equipped with a spruce top, along with an amaro body, offering a traditional appearance and a superb tone. This stunning spruce top produces a crisp, versatile tone suitable for many playing styles, along with a direct and un-muddied sound that will retain its clarity when you strum hard. Its amaro back features a stunning spalt mango wedge, offering a wonderful visual flair.

D’Addario EXP16 Strings

This stunning parlor guitar is also equipped with a set of EXP16 strings which deliver the ideal balance of volume, projection and comfortable playability. These high-quality, coated strings are crafted from plain steel, with a hexagonal cores made of High Carbon Steel, manufactured New York. Each string is highly engineered, break-resistant, and delivers unprecedented strength and pitch stability, as well as a long-lasting tone.
