PJ Pickup Configuration

The American Elite Precision Bass is crafted to deliver every tone that modern bass players could require, spanning the decades from vintage to modern. The middle-position Elite Precision Bass pickup gives the thump and mid-focussed sound of the vintage Precision Bass - perfect for funk and Motown sounds. The bridge-position Jazz Bass pickup gives the bite required for more modern styles of music. Fender's 4th Generation Noiseless pickups provide optimal noise-reduction without any loss of the iconic single-coil tone, so you'll still be guaranteed a full-bodied sound with nuance and clarity.

18V Preamp

The onboard 18v preamp gives the Elite Precision Bass even more tonal versatility, with a 3-band EQ and an active/passive switch letting you disengage the preamp should you wish to play battery-free. The preamp is complemented by the noiseless pickups, providing a high headroom and huge scope for adjustment.

American Elite Neck with Compound Profile and Fingerboard

The American Elite Precision Bass has a thoroughly-modern neck, with a compound radius and compound profile. As you climb the neck it becomes thinner and flatter, giving enhanced string-balance and comfort in different regions. The satin-finish ensures a slick playing-feel while the sculpted neck joint enables even easier access to the top frets.

Classic Alder Body

The iconic Precision Bass outline provides optimal playing comfort, with a forearm contour and tummy contour. The body is constructed from alder for a bright and resonant tonality.

Professional Hardware

A HiMass Bridge gives the American Elite Bass greatly enhanced sustain and resonance, along with solid tuning stability and full adjustment over action and intonation. A bone nut also helps with resonance while the light-weight "F" vintage-paddle tuners help with the overall balance of the guitar. The bass comes in a redesigned ABS Elite Moulded Case with TSA locks, so you'll be ready to gig straight-away.
