After receiving a large amount of feedback from musicians loving the Spectre pedal except for the inherent background noise, the engineers as Chase Bliss used their knowledge they had gained over the years to create a modification to silence the unbearable noise once and for all. Known as the “blue knob mod” because of the blue control knobs, this update produces less background noise and allows the regeneration to be dialled in much smoother than before.
The through-zero flanger pedal is equipped with an all-analogue signal path, letting you dial in a range of subtle and wacky flange effects or create an impressive array of chorus and vibrato tones. The Spectre pedal is also monophonic, featuring one input and one output jack, and offers extraordinary sonic options that will revolutionise your tone.
Not only does the Spectre feature excellent controllable parameters, but also offers 16 dip switches to provide even more tonal possibilities. The ramp control knob adjusts the amount of effect you want to achieve, acting as a wet/dry mix knob while adding a tube-like preamp character to the tone. It can also be set to control any of the 5 parameters individually or simultaneously via dip switches on the back of the pedal. Even with the wide selection of controls and switched, the Spectre still manages to offer an easy operation, letting you dial in the perfect effect with ease. While the zero knob sets the manual delay time on the flange effect, the regen effects the intensity of the flange effect, even to the point of self oscillation & whale-like noises. This unique variety of tones will make your guitar tones stand out from the crowd.
The Chase Bliss Audio pedal features plenty of tone shaping options, including the innovative ModuShape which offers full control over the shape and midpoint of modulation wave. The ModuShape features a width and shift knob, and two wave shape toggles to give you excellent control over the pedals modulation, letting you find the perfect sound for your playing style.
As with all Chase Bliss Audio pedals, the Spectre features an intelligent 'brain' that keeps the signal at 100 percent analogue. This design preserves the original tone from your instrument as it’s never digitally processed or compromised. Spectre is also MIDI compatible, enabling you more versatile ways to enjoy your music.
