Versatile dual-filter design

The CPM DF-8 combines two distinct analog filters to cover a wide sonic range. The smooth, discrete analog 2045 low-pass filter offers warmth and depth, while the GEN R-8 filter delivers a sharper, more aggressive character. Each filter operates in multiple modes, including low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, notch, and unique combinations such as BP+ and BR+ for expanded tonal possibilities.

This dual-filter setup allows you to create anything from subtle tone shaping to intense, dynamic sweeps with precision control.

Flexible modulation options

The DF-8 offers extensive modulation capabilities with two full ADSR envelopes that can be triggered in various ways. They can respond to gate signals, audio input thresholds, manual triggers, or run in loop mode as LFOs. This flexibility lets you craft evolving textures and rhythmic filter movements with ease.

Additionally, the built-in sample & hold modulation source, complete with a slew control, provides further possibilities for adding complexity to your sound.

Built-in sound sources and effects

Beyond filtering, the DF-8 includes onboard white noise generators and a crunchy PT2399 delay effect that can self-oscillate, adding character and movement to your patches. These features make the unit a powerful standalone sound source capable of creating anything from subtle ambiances to chaotic textures. With noise, delay, and filter self-oscillation, the DF-8 becomes an instrument in its own right.
