The Fender LTD Whiteguard Strat features a solid ash wood body, delivering a classic Fender ‘twang’ with sweet, airy tones. The lightweight ash provides the guitar with excellent resonance and sustain, offering firm lows, pleasing highs, and a scooped midrange. This Limited-Edition Guitar is finished in a vintage blonde and a nitrocellulose lacquer, with its thin, porous, and delicate coating allowing the tonewoods to breath with their natural tonal character and resonance. The lacquer is also known to wear and age in a certain way that appeals to many players.
Fitted with a beautiful maple neck and fingerboard, the Fender Strat delivers a lusciously bright tonal character with plenty of tightness and cut. The tonewood is perfect for a wide range of playing styles, delivering a powerfully sharp punch with excellent clarity when the strings are hit hard. Medium to light picking brings out the subtler tonal characteristics of the maple, providing the guitar with a lavish undertone of depth and crispness. Crafted both neck and fingerboard from maple helps improve the Tele’s sound by adding a slight sizzle to the high end while keeping the lows firm and mids snappy.
This Limited-Edition Strat features a set of custom shop ’51 Nocaster single-coils, designed with the same specs as the original pickups to deliver the tonal qualities of the original Nocaster guitar. These custom shop pickups have been built period-correct cloth output wire and fibre bobbin to deliver a truly vintage performance, while its enamel-coated magnet wire offers that classic Tele warmth. The addition of flush-mount magnets ensures the pickups deliver an even string response, while its classic alnico 3 magnets produce plenty of focus and enhanced dynamics.
Another addition to this model are the 22 narrow tall frets, which are mounted on the maple fingerboard and provide incredible comfort when performing slides. Being slightly narrower than standard medium jumbo frets, the narrow tall frets are incredible effective for bending notes and playing chords with superb intonation.
Along with its amazing tone and looks, the LTD Whiteguard Strat also features a bone nut which adds to its classic aesthetic. The main purpose of using a bone nut, compared to modern materials, is the bone offers excellent resonance and sustain. A bone nut also delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a long time. In addition, this type of nut naturally self-lubricates and helps the guitar to stay in tune for longer.
This unique guitar is delivered in an elite moulded case, featuring body-hugging contours which holds the guitar firmly in place. TSA latches are also included for enhanced security and easy access. This durable case also features a stacking ability, for easy storage and transport.
