Ultra-Compact Pico Series

Erica Synths have successfully managed to create a high-performance series of modules in an ultra-compact and affordable format. At only 3HP in width, the Pico VCF1 provides the same sound quality and versatility that you would typically need a collection of rather expensive modules to generate. Designed for Eurorack modular systems, the Erica Synths Pico module series is a huge leap in compact, powerful, and innovative modular synthesis.

Low-Pass & Band-Pass Modes

The Erica Synths Pico VCF1 is equipped with an LP/BP toggle switch, allowing you to choose between LP (low-pass) and BP (band-pass) filter modes. Low-pass cuts the high frequencies, and continues to cut at lower and lower frequencies as you turn the cutoff control counter-clockwise. This allows you to create much more focus on the lower frequencies of your patched-in audio signal, open it right up for a wide frequency spectrum, or create sweeps to either open up or close down the frequencies of your sound in real-time. The band-pass mode allows you to pass frequencies within a certain range, whilst attenuating frequencies outside of that range. This gives you the ability to focus on a particular frequency "band" dependent on the location of the cutoff control. This is great for limiting the bandwidth of your patched in audio to give space to other sounds within your mix, or for creative sonic transformations and frequency sweeps.

Capable Of Self-Oscillation

The VCF1 can self-oscillate. This occurs when maxing out the resonance parameter, and sweeping the filter cutoff. This produces a sine wave, and is great for adding an extra layer to your sound. It has the same uses as a purpose-built oscillator, and can be used to sculpt a huge array of tones with various patches.

Rare Russian Op-Amps

The Erica Synths Pico VCF1 utilises rare Russian op-amps to provide its astonishing sound quality and characteristics. Based on its bigger brother, the Black Polivoks VCF, the Pico VCF1 is perfect for rich acid basslines, screaming resonance sweeps, and deep, dark wobbles. Only the highest quality components are used, resulting in only the highest quality performance and sound.
