Made using advanced moulding technology
The Tama Silverstar Vintage shells have been constructed from select birch wood and then expertly crafted using the same moulding technology as the STAR and Starclassic drums. This precise and intricate methodology results in every Tama Silverstar kit possessing a consistent sound, rich tone and warm resonance. They project with power and cut through with precision.
Low-mass lugs and innovative shell hardware
The Tama low-mass lugs have been specifically designed for the Silverstar series drums. Through the reduction of the surface area that the lugs take up on the shell, a dynamic structure that does not detract from the shell's resonance is achieved. Tama's claw hooks aid in the stabilisation of the wood hoops on bass drums and feature built in rubber linings which help protect the wood and maintain consistent tuning throughout live performances. In addition to this, rubber spacers help protect the die-cast zinc claw hooks and tension bolts from damage when the bass drum is placed on the floor.
Complete, unhindered resonance
Tama's innovative Star-Cast Mount System maximises the drums resonance by offering complete tom isolation and providing unhindered shell resonance. It provides support at four separate points on the batter side hoop of the drums. There are no adverse effects on tuning as found in less advanced suspension designs.

Multi-layered, water-resistant storage
Included with everything else is a Tama PowerPad 4-piece bag set. This allows you to store your drums securely, with multiple layers protecting your drums during transport and storage. Your Silverstar drumkit will also be safe from water, with a high-density, water-resistant polyester exterior. They are also designed specifically to accommodate drums with Star-Cast mounts. Perfect!
