All-steel shells. Full-throttle sound. The Tama SLP Big Black Steel 3 Piece Shell Pack was designed to give impact to your powerful grooves. The shells feature a 1mm thick, all-steel construction for producing huge projection and cut. Larger than usual dimensions also greatly enhance the projection, warmth, and 'boom' of the drums. With an all-black matte finish and black nickel hardware, these drums look intimidating on a smoke-filled stage, and sound just as beastly. Limited 2019 production.
Please Note: Hardware, cymbals and snare sold separately. However, the HTS58F classic tom stand for the 13'' x 9'' tom is included.

Built to meet the demands of heavier music, the SLP Big Black Steel kits feature all-steel shells and 2.3mm flanged steel mighty hoops. These hoops provide a slightly 'wetter' sound than die-cast and allow the drums to resonate. The tone is aggressive but with deep, fat punchiness to fill out plenty of space in a demanding mix. This makes the SLP Big Black shell pack perfect for lighter rock all the way to the most face-melting genres of metal.
Getting the most out of the shells is important. After all, every piece of hardware attached to a shell affects the resonance and sound produced by the drums. One way to minimise this was to design the lugs for minimum shell contact. These feature an extremely low mass bridge construction, ensuring maximum resonance is obtainable.
The SLP Big Black Steel kit pairs perfectly with the Tama SLP 14'' x 8'' Big Black Steel Snare Drum. A monster of a snare that demanded its own shell pack to match.
